Hyperbaric Chamber

Breathe deeper, recover faster.

Step into our next-generation hyperbaric oxygen chamber to support healing, recovery, energy and overall wellness. Inside, air pressure is raised above normal while you breathe pure oxygen, letting your blood carry more oxygen through the body.

Hyperbaric Chamber

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy involves breathing oxygen at higher-than-normal air pressure inside a chamber, which increases the amount of oxygen carried in the blood. Postura offers it as a recovery and wellness session alongside musculoskeletal treatment.

Who it’s for

Slow healers, the highly stressed, athletes chasing recovery — and anyone optimising energy and general wellness.

How it works

Air pressure is raised above normal while you breathe pure oxygen, letting your blood carry more oxygen to the tissues that need it.

What it treats

  • Fatigue, low energy, brain fog
  • Slow recovery from workouts or injuries
  • Musculoskeletal rehabilitation support
  • High stress and burnout
  • General wellness and recovery
  • Cognitive performance

What a session involves

You lie inside the chamber for the session and breathe normally. Pressure changes at the start and end feel like the ear pressure on a descending aircraft, and you will be shown how to equalise. Most people read or rest through it.

When to see a doctor instead

Hyperbaric sessions are not suitable for everyone. Tell the clinic if you have any lung condition including recent pneumothorax, ear or sinus problems, a recent cold or congestion, uncontrolled seizures, or if you are pregnant, and speak to your doctor first. See a doctor rather than booking a session if pain follows a significant fall or accident, if you have numbness or weakness in an arm or leg, if you lose control of your bladder or bowels, or if pain comes with fever, unexplained weight loss or night pain that wakes you. These are signs that need medical assessment first.

Questions patients ask.

Raising the pressure increases how much oxygen dissolves into the blood. In medicine it has specific licensed uses; outside those, it is used as a recovery session and should be understood in those terms rather than as a treatment for a named condition.

Comfortable. The only sensation most people notice is ear pressure while the chamber pressurises and depressurises, which clearing your ears resolves.

Anyone with an untreated lung condition, current ear or sinus congestion, or certain other medical conditions. The clinic screens for this before your first session, and will decline if it is not appropriate.

Typically around an hour, including the few minutes of pressurising at the start and depressurising at the end.

The chamber is clear and you can see out and speak to staff throughout. If you are anxious in enclosed spaces, say so before booking — a short familiarisation is easier than discovering it at pressure.

No. Congested ears and sinuses cannot equalise pressure, which is uncomfortable and can injure the eardrum. Reschedule and come when it has cleared.

No. Hospitals use higher pressures for specific licensed medical indications under specialist supervision. What is offered here is a wellness and recovery session, and should be understood in those terms.
